How can you have a game without a story? How can you have a city without a past? and how can you have a main character without a purpose? The obvious answer is you cant. For a character driven adventure to work you need a good story. Cool mechanics, great graphics and a booming soundtrack can only take you so far. The player has to feel emotion as they play and the best way to elicit that is through a connection with the main character and the easiest way to do that is by adding depth and substance to the game world.
The Past:
Some will say world wide society has been slowly crumbling since the 1970’s, maybe even earlier. A sad combination of seemingly on-going wars, government and corporate corruption, ever worsening climate change and the general decline of morals and values amongst the population has resulted in a population that tragically, just care about anything or anyone anymore. The forests have been stripped to just stumps and wasteland, the seas and oceans have been polluted so badly they are devoid of life, global super powers have enacted countless proxy wars throughout the planet and murder, theft and violence is now a common occurrence on every street corner.
This come to a critical breaking point early in the year 2032 when those combined factors resulted in the inevitable break down in society. Poverty, hunger, massive inflation and mass unemployment had pushed not just the lowest in society onto the streets but the middle classes joined them too. Riots, looting and major civil disobedience ensued. Initially the Police tried to supress the violent uprising, when that failed the armies were called in and as you can image. All hell broke loose and society finally collapsed.
The Present:
The year is now 2068. Thirty six years have passed since The Breakdown and the world has become a very different place. What is left of the remaining lucky members of the population live in vast cyber cities with interconnected districts linked via bridges and trains. The rising ocean had left the majority of the land mass below water resulting in districts being built upon vast platforms dotted throughout the city. Like all aspects of modern society these are tightly controlled by The Governance with force.
The Future:
We wanted to produce a gaming experience that was forever evolving (or as long as the adult gaming public wants it). Due to the modular nature of the city island system we have devised we can expand the game to be as big as our imagination will allow and as varied as our supporters desire. Once the Eros district is fully finished and fleshed out we will be continuing the adventures on other districts and locations pushing forward the stories and adventures.

- 2034 The worldwide mega famine
- 2039 China invade Japan, Taiwan, Cambodia, The Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam
- 2041 Europe is invaded and assimilated into Russia
- 2042 Africa, India and the middle east form the AIM alliance.
- 2047 Canada and Mexico vote to become American member states unifying North America
- 2048 A combined Canadian, Mexican and USA government form the USACM Committee
- 2048 The modular city-district style of building now implemented due to rising waters
- 2052 Big Tech, Big Pharma and Big Finance form the Governance Group
- 2060 The Governance Group and The USACM Committee join forces
- 2061 All ex-USACM leaders and head office removed and imprisoned
- 2062 The Governance now become absolute rulers of North America.
- 2063 The first ever Rebel Element terrorist attack
